Thank you to everyone who has sent cards! I have, embarrassingly, completely lost track of things. ^^;; But I have also sent a lot of things... and would feel good about the state of my gifting overall except I have one amazon order from the beginning of the month that hasn't budged!. I suspect next year I will either need to pester people for wishlists at the beginning of November or see if we can skip the 'zon altogether. (Also a few packages out in the void but that's starting to clear up and that's certainly the weather affecting things at this point.)
I have one more day of work left this year, and then nearly two weeks off. I suppose the main thing I need to do is clean/sort/organize. Yet again, not having any clue what I own threatened to bite me in the ass. (Saved! ...by my laziness. I hadn't actually bought the thing I thought I needed but already had.) So, 2026 will be the year of the whole-place inventory and likely clean-out. Maybe I can just start doing a monthly giveaway post?
Finished up RG Exia and put him in the Mangar. Next is a 30MM Horse, which is part of the D&D party that I ordered at Thanksgiving: RG Justice, HG Calibarn, SD Dynames, 30MF Priest, and 30MM Horse. I didn't order a D&D party on purpose! Just... once everyone was in my cart I was just 'lol, this sure is an assortment, or more like a D&D party...'
Neighbor D's memorial service is also today. It's fairly late in the day, so I'm just going to drop by briefly, but I also wouldn't miss it.

Hello and welcome! You can call me Cherie (she/her). I made this journal with the intention of making it some sort of a media log, writing archive and everything in between including but not limited to diary entries, link dumps and lists (just because).
My main interests are stationery, video games and fanfiction. I write (but mostly grinding out words out of my noggin) and try to kind of keep up with my dailies across three different games. I'd be happy to share my sticker collection with anyone interested~
My main fandom as of writing is Honkai: Star Rail (☆ Stelle). I alsoam Totally Normal about enjoy Genshin Impact (☆ Wriothesley), Love and Deepspace (☆ Homura, Mahiru), and Ensemble Stars (☆ Undead).
Journal access is public, but I'll likely be putting some entries behind lock/private if I feel it's too personal. Only housekeeping rule I'll mention is ship and let ship (among other things). Other than that, feel free to leave a comment if we share interests or would like to be friends!

I got through the writing pieces for my writing group tomorrow, but it took me an embarrassingly long time to do it. They weren't long--a total of eight pages, but I just can't really think of anything constructive to say beyond some vague things. I like providing macro stuff, but I got fucking nothing to offer.
I have no attention span to try and write, though I may be able to get myself to read.
Heavily debating on trying The Artist's Way (again) during the new year, though I absolutely dread needing to deal with the undercurrent of Jesus-by-volume in it.
In other news, I'm started a new crocheting project: it's a dino amigurumi for a family member. It's accidentally turned into a stash buster because the colors the family member requested were in colors I already had and were the right size for the pattern. It's also busting my sewing scraps stash for want of filling.
This game trailer also popped into my recommendations, and it looks so freaking cool. Mexican gothic horror Metroidvania. I haven't played a lot of the genre, but Mariachi Legends just tickles my fancy. The pixel art and animations are so colorful, and the music is so atmospheric. I'm looking forward to the release.

Looking for introductions to decorative CSS on Dreamwidth?

But I don't have a good baseline for how CSS and HTML can be effectively used inside of posts on Dreamwidth. Cohost, obviously, was infamously permissive with what you could do with CSS; most "modern style" social media, meanwhile, doesn't even really let you insert tables or div elements to format, limiting in-post html/css to just some very bare bones text formatting at most.
Are there any tutorials or guides for how to learn to develop your own aesthetic playlist/muselist/ac tracker/muse inbox/etc "codes" from scratch? I'd really love to brush up on my fanciest css without necessarily editing my blog theme every time to do it.
Z.A.T.O. Log #1
Dec. 19th, 2025 11:13 pmalatus_nemeseosAs I mentioned in my latest Genshin entry, I started playing through my backlog of free games before diving into the ones I want to buy once Christmas comes around, and I started by this indie Visual Novel called Z.A.T.O. // I Love the World and Everything in it. The art drew me in, and while I had a few problems making it work (I initially downloaded it off itch.io, but my MacOS version doesn't support x32 bit programs anymore, so it didn't work. Steam told me the same thing but, surprisingly, that one works smoothly, so I'm not sure what changed there), I played through the first 2 hours or so between yesterday and today, and...
... What a ride. It started out fairly normal according to what I was expecting of it, and Chapter 1 was really good. I love the relationship between Asya and Ira, since it reminds me of tropes I like in other media. However, when Chapter 2 came around, things started to get... more unsettling. Now, don't get me wrong. I don't think this is a flaw in the game, but I do have to point it out because the changes can be quite abrupt and disrupt the barely linear narrative... which, once again, is good, but it got to a point where I had to close the game, which is something I never do. The scene in the car repair shop was very unsettling, as it hit too close to some of my intrusive thoughts, and I wonder what direction it'll be heading into, since I left it off right when Asya confronts Vadim (who is actually uninvolved, or so I hope) about it...
I can't wait to see how it continues, but I'm a little scared at the same time, OTL. I also don't know if I should merge everything about the game in one entry or make multiple ones according to my playing days, but we'll see. For now, I'll make it into regular individual logs.

I finally have something to add to this section for the first time in a long while!! Since I'm on break from uni for the following months, I hope I can catch up with the entirety of Nod Krai, but, for now, I've finished Act I of its Archon Quest! I have to admit the breaking in section with Jahoda and Lauma took forever (I hate to admit it, but I'm not really warming up to Jahoda just yet... but I said the same about Lauma and now she's my Nod Krai favorite alongside Ineffa, so who knows), but my god, that betrayal... I guess that was obvious, but it hit harder after not playing for a while, lol.
I also started Act II, but didn't do anything beyond fixing the cannon with Ineffa and Aino's little robot. I hope they play a more important role in the upcoming acts, because with Ineffa's inclusion in 5.8, it kinda feels like she (and Aino, by extension) is not really involved in the Nod Krai general storyline, whoops.

I forgot to check my progress, but I should have around 56 wishes, which is a little bit on the lower end, considering Ineffa is coming next month, I think? I hope I can make it in time, but I'm not too sure.
As I mentioned earlier, I'm finally on a well-deserved break from university! They overworked us to the bone this semester, hence the lack of posts, but I plan to game a lot during my break, so I hope that also translates to a lot of entries here — I might be updating a few times tonight, so brace yourselves! Apart from that, I'm a little tired, but excited for Christmas and the rest of the holidays, even if they're still a week away.
