Episode 1-3: How long were Hyacinth and Latil together before he had to return home?

All Hyacinth had to do was send Latil a letter, she still would've been heartbroken but she wouldn't have been pining and expecting a proposal as long. Then again in the letter he would've said 'you can still be my concubine' and the same result could've happened. But the thing is, he still would've had concubines even if she became the Empress. I think it was purely the fact that he promised one thing and did another without even telling her or letting her down gently that broke her heart. And then of course how he tried to cajole her when they met again.

I appreciate that Aini was in the same boat but didn't go behind Latil's back, she confronted her directly and they both ended up being petty in their own ways to get revenge on Hyacinth.

Episode 4-5: Though she doesn't know it yet, Latil meets one of her future concubines, Prince Klein (who is Hyacinth's younger brother) after she gets drunk in the garden with the wine Aini gave her and basically forces him to participate and take a nap with her lmao



In her drunken state she mistook him for Hyacinth and said some things, now Klein thinks she's in love with him. 😅

I wonder where Sonnaught was during all this, anyway. His expressions are always funny.

"Please don't try to hide your rough and tumble nature for anyone, Your Highness. You are most charming when you are yourself." Must've been hard watching her be on her best behavior for Hyacinth. She only sees him as her brother's childhood friend who likes to tease her. Poor Sonnaught.

Episode 6: The question Latil asked Hyacinth also kinda applies to Sonnaught. "Could you accept me marrying someone and taking on consorts and concubines?" The answer for him is of course yes, even if she doesn't choose him he wants her to be happy, he will keep any sadness to himself.

It's sad that one woman gained more power to help her people but in return another lost her first love. I'm very curious what happens with Aini and Hyacine in the end.

Klein has a bad temper, that's why girls stayed back from him. Dude threw a glass against the wall because Latil went home and didn't come to his bed(??).

Episode 7: Latil just got home and learns MORE bad news. Her brother Raean stepped down from position of heir to the throne and it looks like Thula, the son of her father's consort, would take his place which Latil is against because of the heartbreak her mother had to go through because of the consort (Anaktcha). But the father tells her that SHE is the heir now.

The Great Prophet once said Raean would make a great ruler or a great prophet but that Latil had the potential to become a tyrant, though she could bring prosperity.

Two years of Latil studying later...

Thula does a hostile takeover while Latil is visiting her brother, supposedly killing their father so it's a fight to who can get the support of the nobles first. Lord Atraxil's wife is smart. Of course, she wants also her son Ranamun to be the royal consort.

Episode 8: Aaand another half a year. ...I think I blanked out that Latil's father really did get murdered. Damn. What he must've felt in those last moments. I'm sure he had faith in Latil but knowing that your choices led to this, and not being able to say goodbye to his wife.

Latil said that she's wanted to be Empress for 6 years?? That's long before she met Hyacinth. That means it hurt even more when Hyacinth married someone else because her dream was crushed too. Wait why Karisen though? Because she couldn't by Emperor of her own nation because her brother was going to be?

Her mother is staying at a temple, I wonder if it's the one Raean is at?

The father sent the nurse away after Latil become heir?? So she was gone for those two years. Did he suspect what would happen and that Latil would need her later?
