Anyway, with Ao3 recently being down again, I was wondering if I should maybe actually look into crossposting my fics elsewhere too...? I see a lot of folks use SquidgeWorld, but I've also heard it's sort of pro-censorship? I see a lot of mixed opinions. If any of you strongly like or dislike it, let me know your thoughts about using it. Otherwise, I've considered posting them here or perhaps making my own website. Making a website has always interested me but I'm a bit intimidated by the idea of building something like that myself. I have extremely little experience with coding...
I sadly haven't been writing that much since I haven't been in a good headspace. I'm hoping I can get back into writing the Genshin fic my partner and I have been working on. Honestly, I'm just waiting for it to be time for Anime Boston. (We have about a month!) I need a weekend where I don't think about anything that's been stressing me out. My partner and I will be cosplaying again so I've been working on those when I can. Not sure if there's gonna be any panels or anything we wanna do in particular yet.
Speaking of cons, I might have some new mutuals here from the recent Citrus Con and their adjacent BL server. If that's you, hello!!! I promise I'm not always a downer and actually talk about BL sometimes lol.

Date: 2026-03-05 07:08 am (UTC)I also had this vague impression, but I just double-checked, and it turns out I was getting SquidgeWorld confused with superlove, a different AO3 clone! superlove has the following rule in its Terms of Service:
no content about underage characters in sexual situations in which the underage characters are under the age of 16. the only exception to this is referencing canonical occurances of underage sexual content younger than 16. aged-up characters are allowed, but will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis when it comes to canonically under-13 characters.
I had a poke through SquidgeWorld's terms, but I couldn't find anything policing content.
