FFVII fic recs! — specifically looking for anything Gen (about Cloud or Vincent is a bonus), Aerith/Tifa, or Sephiroth/Genesis focused. I mostly read Cloud ships so any recs will most likely be new to me :)

Writing advice! — How do you choose the starting point of your fic/story? Sometimes I get an idea of how one might end but have no idea where to actually start it.

The starting point for a story, especially if you have the end in mind, is "How did we make it to this situation?" Which is sometimes the kind of story where you stare at the characters as they explain it.

I usually like to open with some kind of either action sequence or a line of dialogue that is in the middle of a conversation, that's usually the key line to the whole thing, so that there's something for the reader to follow, and then , once the immediate action is over, to fill in the backstory or other things that are needed to get the reader up to speed on what's happening.
