My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Synopsis:
Fashion student Chiaki dreams of seeing his designs on the runway, worn by none other than Ai—the charismatic male model who changed his life. When a prestigious competition promises to make that dream come true, Chiaki is fired up to win. But his hopes are dashed when he’s paired with the clumsy and unfashionable Enaga for the project. One fateful night, after a run-in with some delinquents, Chiaki is unexpectedly saved by his idol Ai. Even more shocking, Ai seductively offers to teach him how to have fun at night…

Caught between the alluring, mysterious model he worships and a clumsy, rough-around-the-edges classmate who can’t seem to stay out of trouble (but may be hiding a surprising secret), Chiaki faces a heart-pounding, pure boy’s love dilemma that will turn his world upside down!

As someone who enjoys alt fashion, piercings, and sweet BL relationships, this story checked all of the right boxes for me from the very beginning. Although we switch between Chiaki and Ai’s POV through the story, we mostly follow Chiaki as he struggles with falling for both the model he idolizes—Ai—and his classmate—Enaga. I really enjoy how each of Chiaki’s relationships with the two are depicted.

Chiaki and Ai have so much chemistry. Much like the synopsis suggests, Ai is a big flirt, and Chiaki is quite receptive to it despite his nervousness and inexperience. Chiaki being so earnest about returning the sentiment, even if it sometimes requires him to have alcohol in his system first, tends to also surprise Ai at times. This dynamic makes them seem so cute together. I love a good relationship between a flirty type and an easily flustered type. Plus, Ai is very protective of Chiaki, always ensuring that he’s comfortable and safe while they’re out at clubs. I find that sweet.

On the other hand, the chemistry between Chiaki and Enaga grows as they work through their differences. Chiaki attempts to understand Enaga better and bonds with him by taking him out on friend “dates” and inviting him to his home to work on their assignment outside of class. Chiaki eventually finds himself comfortable enough to have Enaga sleep over and even cooks for him (since Enaga usually has convenience store food), which makes their relationship feel domestic.

There is a sort of thrill in reading through the story due to a very minor spoiler that you actually find out about at the end of chapter one anyway.

It might be a bit obvious since they look quite similar, but Ai and Enaga are the same guy lol. Ai never learned how to sew, but his interest in fashion made him want to. He ends up going undercover to attend fashion school so he doesn’t get special treatment from anyone.

While the relationship between Chiaki and Ai gets tense toward the end, there is a satisfying ending. There is also explicit sexual content in the epilogue, which I think is super sweet and done really well. Overall, I think the pacing is great: the relationship developments don’t feel rushed and neither does the resolution. I would recommend this to anyone even remotely interested in the premise!

You might like this if you enjoy: Mutual pining, flirty top/inexperienced bottom, and… sensual piercing touching.

Since this is a favorite of mine, I must mention there's also a sequel series called PUNKS△TRIANGLE stitch, which is getting an official EN release by Seven Seas, and a drama adaptation that aired in late 2025!
