⏾ 001: Writing in 2025

I didn't get to write that much this year, so I've been planning what WIPs I want to work on starting in January. I'm basically in a constant state of having too many fanfic ideas and never finishing them, and I want that to change a little. It might be because writing is a form of escapism for me, but whenever I'm stressed, I get a lot of inspiration/motivation. When I'm free, I somehow lose all of it.
I made a list for myself that I'm calling my "writing wishlist", which consists of the main fics I've been wanting to work on. I'm being realistic, so I'm not saying finish. I'm hoping this will help me remember the ideas I keep rotating like a rotisserie chicken when I'm busy. And, since I always have too many WIPs, it should help with my decision paralysis when I'm finally in a writing mood. After the cut are the WIPs I've been thinking about lately.
My number one priority is a multi-chapter fic I want to write for a ship week in early 2025. I have (mostly) an outline right now, at least.
I'm also hoping to continue the most recent ongoing multi-chapter fic I've posted on ao3. The next chapter has been almost done for over a year, but the thing about this fic is that I was being incredibly self-indulgent. After walking away for a while due to life things, I'm a little afraid of being cringe but free again LOL. It also received... a surprising amount of positive feedback from the fandom. I didn't expect that many people to care honestly, but a few people have commented saying they would love if I continued it. That makes me feel happy (if not a little guilty).
The third and last thing I want to work on is what will become the part two of the only fic I posted during 2024. I had the idea to write my view/interpretation of one of my favorite ships over the course of three or so years. Instead of pressuring myself to finish one very long fic, I decided it would be better to make it a series. I think it also makes sense since the setting will change dramatically for each year/fic. I also like the idea of them being readable as standalones.
I didn't want too many things on my list, because I know I'm going to get new ideas throughout the new year. I already feel the Cloud/Vincent brainworms overtaking my brain, and I'm not sure if I'm going to be opening a floodgate of WIPs involving them in the next year (help).
