I don't think it helps that I've mostly been in fandom spaces where "antis" get a large following. So of course, people who don't necessarily agree with them will unfortunately be quieter.

I've definitely run into the issue of people seeing that I ship similar ships to them, so they assume I have the same opinions as them. That has always ended in disaster lol, so I totally get what you mean.
